A practical checklist for confirming who will treat you in Korea, using official sources rather than marketing pages.
International patients usually meet a Korean clinic through an advertisement, an agency or a social media account. None of those confirm that the clinic is a registered medical institution, that the surgeon holds the specialty they imply, or that the intermediary is a registered facilitator. Each of those facts can be checked, and checking them takes less time than the trip.
Korean clinics and hospitals are registered medical institutions with a legal name that may differ from the brand on the sign. Ask for the registered name and address and check them against official Korean sources. A clinic that treats international patients regularly should also be able to say whether it is registered to attract foreign patients.
In Korea, a board-certified plastic surgeon is a distinct specialty from a doctor who performs cosmetic procedures without it. The Korean plastic surgeons' society publishes a specialist search; other specialties have their own societies. Ask the clinic for the clinician's full name and specialty, then look them up.
If an agency, concierge or facilitator is involved, ask whether it is registered as a foreign-patient facilitator and how it is paid. Medical Korea, the government's medical tourism body, publishes guidance on registered facilitators and patient safety. Ask any intermediary, including Beautinery, to answer these questions in writing before you commit.
Who performs the procedure, who administers anaesthesia and where, what happens if complications arise, revision and refund policies, and how follow-up works after you leave Korea. Written answers protect both sides.

Ask for the doctor's full name in Korean and English, then use the specialist search published by the Korean plastic surgeons' society. If the name is not listed, ask the clinic to explain the clinician's qualifications in writing.
Fame reflects marketing reach as much as outcomes. Registration, the clinician's specialty, facility standards and complication procedures are what to check, whatever the size of the clinic.
Treat that as a decisive answer. The operating surgeon should be named before you pay, and the same person should appear at your consultation.
