What a remote consultation with a Korean clinic can settle, what it cannot, and how to prepare photos, questions and privacy expectations.
Most Korean clinics that see international patients offer some form of remote consultation: photos and a questionnaire, a messaging exchange or a video call. Used well, it narrows the shortlist and prepares the in-person visit. It does not replace the assessment that happens in the room.
What a remote consultation can settle
Whether the clinic treats cases like yours, which options the surgeon would consider discussing, a preliminary range for costs and time, and what the in-person consultation will involve.
What it cannot settle
Suitability, the final plan, the final price and consent. Those depend on physical examination and sometimes tests. Treat remote answers as preparation.
Privacy of your images
Ask how photos are stored, who sees them and whether they are deleted if you do not proceed. Send images through channels the clinic specifies, not open social accounts, and keep copies of what you sent.

Can a Korean clinic diagnose me from photos?
Clinics can form a preliminary view and say what they would discuss in person. Diagnosis, suitability and the final plan require in-person assessment.
How many clinics should I consult remotely?
Two to four is manageable and gives comparison without fatigue. Using the same photos and questions for each keeps the comparison fair.
Is a video call better than photos?
Video allows conversation and questions; photos allow the surgeon to look carefully. Many clinics use both. Ask what the clinic prefers.
Will my photos be used for marketing?
Only with your separate consent. Ask for the clinic's policy in writing before sending images and decline any use you are not comfortable with.
