Quote guide

Read the quote before you compare it

Korean plastic surgery quotes vary in what they include. This guide shows which lines to look for, which are often missing and how to compare clinics on the same basis.

Updated · Beautinery Concierge Team

A quote is only comparable when you know what it covers. Korean clinics itemize differently: some quote a surgeon's fee alone, others bundle anaesthesia, consumables and follow-up, and promotional prices may carry conditions. This guide lists what a complete estimate states, what is often left out and how Beautinery lays quotes side by side.

Lines a complete estimate contains

The procedure and technique as the surgeon described it; the surgeon's fee; anaesthesia type and fee; the facility or operating room charge; implants or materials; pre-operative tests; medication; compression garments or dressings; scheduled follow-up visits; and any consultation fee already paid.

Lines that are often missing

Revision policy and its cost, complication management, extended follow-up after you leave Korea, remote check-ins, deposits and cancellation terms, and whether tax is included. Ask for each explicitly.

Promotions and packages

Event pricing is common and can be genuine, but it usually has dates, eligibility and inclusion conditions. Ask whether the promotional price applies to your procedure, your dates and the technique the surgeon recommended.

Comparing two clinics

Put both estimates on the same lines. A lower headline total may not be cheaper once anaesthesia and follow-up are included. Where a clinic quotes a range, ask what moves the figure within it.

Payment and currency

Confirm accepted payment methods, card or currency fees, deposit amounts and refund conditions. Ask the clinic whether any tax refund arrangement applies to international patients and what documents it requires.

Keep one answer record for each quote

Use the same fields for each clinic and keep its original estimate beside your notes. Write 'pending' wherever a written answer is missing; a blank does not mean free or included. Compare scope first, then totals in the same currency.

Confirm the conditions behind included support

For interpretation, transport, medication collection or follow-up coordination, ask the same four questions. Keep clinic charges, travel bookings and coordination fees separate in your comparison.

  • Who provides the support, on which dates and for how many hours or visits?
  • Is it included, separately charged, or conditional on a clinic choice, minimum spend or advance booking?
  • What changes if I keep my own clinic, postpone treatment or need another visit?
  • Who pays the coordinator, including any payment from the clinic, and what fee would I pay?

A follow-up message you can reuse

Send this to the clinic or coordinator who supplied the estimate. Replace the brackets and remove questions they have already answered. Keep the reply with the original quote.

Hello [clinic or coordinator],

Thank you for the estimate dated [date] for [procedure]. Before I compare my options, could you confirm the following in writing?

1. The named clinician, proposed procedure and technique.
2. The total, currency, tax and quote expiry. If it is a range, what changes the final amount?
3. Which items are included or charged separately, including anaesthesia, materials, medication and follow-up visits.
4. Revision or additional-care terms and any remote follow-up after I leave Korea.
5. Any package conditions, coordination fee and who provides the included support.
6. The deposit amount and recipient, receipt, cancellation deadline, refund terms and payment fees.

For anything still pending, please tell me who can confirm it and when. If the plan changes after consultation, please send the revised scope and total before I decide.

Thank you,
[name]

Coordination flow

  1. 1

Request an itemized written estimate from each clinic after the consultation, in the same format where possible.

  2. 2

We translate and align the estimates line by line and flag what each omits.

  3. 3

We take the questions and disputed charges raised by the comparison to the providers and negotiate on your behalf.

  4. 4

Deposits are paid only after the estimate, revision terms and cancellation rules are confirmed in writing.

Cost and scope notes

  • Beautinery reviews the full cost with you, including clinic charges, travel, accommodation and our own fee. We question unclear or excessive charges and negotiate with providers on your behalf. Confirm each provider's final written quote and payment terms before agreeing.
  • Concierge coordination is quoted separately and stated before work begins.
  • Travel, accommodation and companion costs sit outside the clinic estimate and should be budgeted separately.

Patient questions

What to clarify before you travel

These answers are coordination guidance, not medical advice. Final treatment decisions should be confirmed directly with the treating provider.

Why do two quotes for the same procedure differ so much?

Usually because they cover different things: technique, anaesthesia, materials, follow-up and revision terms. Occasionally because the clinics recommend different procedures. Align the lines first, then compare.

Should I negotiate the price?

Start with an itemised quote. We question unclear or excessive charges and negotiate the cost on your behalf, including any applicable offers and payment terms. Revised prices and scope must be confirmed in writing; the clinician remains responsible for treatment recommendations.

Is a deposit normal?

Yes, for surgery dates. Confirm the amount, the refund conditions and the cancellation deadline in writing before paying.

Will Beautinery negotiate costs for me?

We negotiate with clinics and other providers on your behalf to seek fair terms, and our own fee is open for discussion. We challenge unclear or excessive charges and compare the complete cost. Any reduction depends on the provider's final offer and is confirmed in writing before you decide.
